The SoliValve® system operates as a closed transfer process and provides an outstanding level of containment.
By combining the containment provided by the SoliValve® technology and the disposability and low cost of the FIBC (Big Bag), the SoliValve® system operates as a "closed transfer" process that is comparable to a split butterfly valve in terms of containment with superior discharge performance. This system eliminates the typical operator interactions with the big bag spout during all phases of discharging, while providing a very high level of containment. The plastic injected parts render the Passive-SoliValve® inexpensive therefore highly suitable as single use technology.
Once the dust-tight connection between both components has been established, the active unit opens the passive closure valve to allow contained and controlled transfer of the material from the container or the FIBC (Big Bag). After partial or total discharge of the content, the active unit recloses the passive valve tightly and the receptacle can be disconnected without dust emission.
The SoliValve®250 system is suitable for OEB3 to OEB4.
The SoliValve®100 has been tested to OEB5 (SMEPAC test report available on request).
It competes with the containment performance of a split butterfly valve for a fraction of the price for the passive part and with a highly superior discharge capability.
